I believe that every human person on earth seeks to and desires to be happy as his or her God-given right. Happiness is limited and reserved to an individual by his or her opinion. As a person, I become confused sometimes not knowing and not being sure of what guarantees true happiness. I tried to consult our CCD class candidates if they also feel the same way as I do. See below the interesting answers from your younger ones:

God – Money – Friends – Family – Pets/Dogs – Art/Music – Love – Joy – Cross – Food/Vegetables – Service – Books – Hobbies – Children – CCD (Twooos) – Acceptance – Sleep – Eyebrows – Blankets – Good Hair Days – Shopping – Flowers – Movies – Makeups – Healthy Babies – Enjoyment – Good Weather – Sunset/Sunrise – Chocolate – Sweets – Successful Marriage – Own Property/ Business

These are innocent and sincere feelings and desires of the hearts for your young ones. Whatever each person desires may not be bad but how much effort have we made to guide them to achieve the right means of responsible future to enable them to attain true happiness.

In addition, they have given us some quotes from the Bible as their love for all of us as we see in this bulletin.

Prayer for Married Couples

Almighty and eternal God,
You blessed the union of married couples so that they might reflect the union of Christ with his Church;
Look with kindness on them.
Renew their marriage covenant, increase your love in them, and strengthen their bond of peace so that, with their children, they may always rejoice in the gift of your blessing.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

We know as Christians and Catholics that our life manual and the biblekey to life is the Bible. We draw all our inspirations and strength from the Bible. The reading and hearing of the word of God at Mass and the celebration of the sacraments always gives us hope, strength, and inspiration for a better life. Everyone loves to hear and enjoy the word of God.

There is a need for more and deeper insight into the word of God. Bible discussions at small groups unite parishioners, reconcile people and neighbors, and give a platform for everyone to also have a voice to express his or her faith in the word of God. The small group enables us to know and bring encouragement to the home we visit for the discussion. It shows how much concern we have for one another and inspires nominal members to become active.

I know how much you love to hear and enjoy the word of God. I wish to encourage you to make some little sacrifice to participate in this wonderful exercise. Listening to your contributions and sharing makes me feel inspired and want to learn more knowledge for your service. I pray to be able to participate in all six weeks’ exercise. In sharing the word of God we draw and drink more overflowing waters of healing and strength as living water from the word of God. Let us come together and drink deep from the word of God. Wishing all a fruitful deliberations and would love to see you in the next meeting. God bless you for accepting to join next round.

Blessings, Fr. Seth

Church Ministry

In Christianity ministry is an activity carried out by Christians to express or spread their faith as commissioned by Christ “Go therefore to all the Nations and make all disciples in my name, baptizing them In the Name of the father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit…Mt 28: 19” carrying forth Christ’s mission in the world through the church, indicating that it was conferred on each Christian in baptism. Church and ministry often work together. Ministries exist to help churches to worship God effectively. Ministries in Christianity is the activity carried out by members of the church to serve the purposes of the church. Some specific tasks or activities such as teaching CCD classes, organizing the youth in the parish, taking up lectorship, becoming an extra-ordinary minister of the Holy Eucharist, Adult Faith formation, singing, prayer intercessors, altar serving and many more. In the Catholic Church, the term Minister is commonly referred to the person performing some ministerial roles either as lay or ordained, commissioned to perform some act on behalf of the church. The duties vary and may depend on which specific ministry one is assigned to act in assisting with the administration of the parish activities and the sacraments, aimed to provide spiritual guidance to the church community including weddings and funerals. Depending on the circumstances and the necessity of the church at a given moment of the time any ministry could be set up if already not existing. The five-fold ministry mentioned in Ephesians 4:11 are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors (shepherds), and Teachers. Thus having all been baptized the Lord does not expect us to remain idle in church but to come out in leading, supporting, encouraging and cooperating with and in all ministries of the church. Everyone and anyone that feels called in a particular ministry which may not be in an existence can initiate with the permission and approval of the competent authority of the church. At the baptism of the Lord we must try to identify our vocation as children of God and serve in some form or capacity as a minister in the church.

BLESSINGS, Father Seth
